INSTITUTE FOR POLARITY
WHAT IS POLARITY?
The law of polarity shapes our entire lives: it is the dynamic between opposite energetic forces, the feminine & masculine, and it influences our interaction on every layer, moment to moment — in our intimate relationships, our collaboration with colleagues, our personal development, and everything in between.
This is the energetic exchange underneath our interaction.

Embodied Polarity is a conceptual framework that integrates insights from depth psychology, attachment theory, systems thinking, and contemporary relationship research into a coherent model of relational dynamics.
At its core, the framework proposes that the tensions we experience in relationships often reflect deeper psychological processes involving attraction, projection, differentiation, polarity, and development.
Rather than viewing masculine and feminine as fixed identities, social roles, or personality types, Embodied Polarity approaches them as complementary psychological functions that operate within every individual. These functions influence how we relate to ourselves, our partners, and the unconscious forces that shape relational life.
The framework provides therapists, educators, and reflective practitioners with conceptual tools for understanding patterns that are often experienced intuitively but difficult to articulate.
A Different
Lens
Embodied Polarity offers therapists a framework for seeing what relational patterns may be expressing, not just how they appear.
Embodied Polarity approaches relationships as developmental feedback systems.
Where many models focus on behaviour, communication, or regulation, this framework explores how attraction, polarity, projection, and relational tension can reveal the deeper psychological patterns shaping our experience.
Relationships become more than partnerships between two people; they become a window into the ongoing dialogue between conscious and unconscious aspects of the self.
